Adventure and Sports

If your client's love language is adventure and excitement, then look no further for thrilling activities in stunning locations that are bound to make your blood rush. Visitors can choose a challenging trek to the summit of Africa's second highest peak, Mount Kenya, paraglide over Kerio Valley, or even experience a safari in style on camel or horseback.

Visitors can also enjoy a spectacular view of the great wildebeest migration from the skies on a hot air balloon every July to October at the world-renowned Maasai Mara Game Reserve. They can raft down the River Tana taking on the rapids, dive the depths of the Indian Ocean and swim with whales and dolphins, or view some of Africa's greatest shipwrecks. For the adrenaline enthusiasts in the mood for some bungee jumping and zip lining, they can enjoy these breathtaking experiences in Sagana.

Running and Biking

Kenya provides a perfect running and training environment; on a run, visitors will experience why Kenya is known as one of the most geographically diverse and awe-inspiring countries in the world. There are expert coaches and guided running holidays available for clients to book whilst in Kenya.

Cycling is another fantastic way for visitors to see the country. Kenya provides an epic natural playground for all who venture here. The possibility of biking past grazing buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, and zebras is a top experience for lovers of both nature and cycling!

Coastal Adventures

The Kenyan coast promises some of the best diving and snorkeling in Africa beyond the Red Sea. In addition to myriad fish species and colorful coral, charismatic marine mammals – including dolphins, sea turtles, whale sharks, and humpback whales – also frequent the Kenyan waters.

If diving and snorkeling are too tranquil for your client, they always have the option of windsurfing and kitesurfing!

Inland Watersports

It is not just the coast that offers water adventures; visitors can also get on the water in many of Kenya's inland regions.

White water rafting along the Ewaso N’giro and Tana rivers is very popular. Expeditions, with full equipment and expert guides, can last between three and eight days, or can be done as a day trip from Nairobi. Both rivers wind their way through spectacular white water, with up to 30 kms of nonstop Class II, III, and IV rapids in some places, and separate stretches of demanding Class V water.

Kayaking is another popular activity; many visitors choose to kayak as part of a safari. Visitors could be on a kayak and see a spoonbill stork swim alongside them; or perhaps they will share the water with herds of elephants escaping the midday heat.
