How to get there:

  • Air: The region can be accessed through numerous airstrips in the conservancies, reserves, the town e.g. Lodwar, and private charters.
  • Road: The region can also be accessed by road, the road network is in great condition.

Unique Selling Proposition

The Cradle of Mankind is the unique selling proposition for Northern Kenya, supported by the rich culture of Northern Kenya, breathtaking landscapes, and Lake Turkana, the largest desert lake also known as the Jade Sea.

Attractions

Lake Turkana, Desert Museum, Turkana Cultural Festival, Northern Kenya Tribes, Lake Turkana National Parks (Sibiloi National Park, Central Island National Park, and South Island National Park) which are a UNESCO Heritage site, Samburu National Reserve, Shaba National Reserve, Sibiloi National Park, Koobi Fora Museum – the Cradle of Mankind, the El Molo and Samburu communities among others, Rendile Camel trains, Chalbi Desert, community conservancies, and the Central Island Park.
